List of Materials

Finish size

This toy is crocheted using sports-weight yarn and a 2 mm hook. The finished size is approximately 18 cm (7 inches) tall.

Gauge

You don’t need to worry too much about the gauge for this pattern. Just choose a hook that works well with your yarn. I always like to use a slightly smaller hook than the yarn label suggests—this helps keep the stitches nice and tight, so the stuffing doesn’t poke through. If your stitches look a bit loose, try going down a hook size.

But if you’d like to check the gauge I got with my yarn, here it is:
Using sports weight yarn and a 2 mm hook, 5 rounds (ending with 30 stitches) measure about 1.6″ (4.5 cm) across.

  1. I love this pattern, but am a little confused. The prelim instructions refer to “back post slip stitch (BPSC)”. The video seems to show a back post single crochet. Then Round 18 (HEAD) says “12 blsl “. I think this meant to be back post single crochet. Please clarify this for me, as I want to crochet the pattern correctly.
Thank you very much! It’s a great pattern!

    1. Hey Karen! Oh, there is a typo mistake there!!! I suppose to link to the BLSL video. Instead, I link to the wrong video and I wrote wrong! I am sorry for that, I have just fixed.
Now, regarding the pattern: The round 18 its correct, you will work 12blsl. That round will be facing inside of the bunny and will give a nice sharp division between the body and the head!
I hope that helps! Thank you so much for the kind words!
