List of Materials:
- 2mm crochet hook;
- I used DK acrylic yarn for this pattern, but you can feel free to crochet with sports-weight cotton as well. Colors: black, 2 shades of gray, brown, green and purple;
- Sewing needle;
- Stuffing material hypoallergenic polyester;
- Scissors.
Finish size:
This Frankenstein is crocheted using DK acrylic yarn and a 2 mm hook. 14 cm (5.5 inches) high.

Gauge
You don’t need to worry too much about the gauge for this pattern. Just choose a hook that works well with your yarn. I always like to use a slightly smaller hook than the yarn label suggests—this helps keep the stitches nice and tight, so the stuffing doesn’t poke through. If your stitches look a bit loose, try going down a hook size.
But if you’d like to check the gauge I got with my yarn, here it is:
Using dk acrylic yarn and a 2 mm hook, 5 rounds (ending with 30 stitches) measure about 1.7″ (5 cm) across.

- Place the hair on his head and secure it with pins to keep it in place while sewing. Sew all the stitches from the last row of the hair onto the head.
- Sew the screws between rounds 26 and 28.
- Use pins to help position the eyes, then embroider them on round 32, leaving 9 stitches between them.
- With the same thread, embroider a straight line four rounds under the eyes to form the mouth.
- With green yarn, make 4 chain stitches above his eyes to form the eyebrows.
- Use pins to fasten the jacket around his shoulders, then sew it around his body.
- (Optional) With green yarn, embroider small scars on his face by making uneven lines. Some people prefer him without this detail, while others love the extra touch — use your imagination for the final look!

Yes! You’re welcome to sell the finished items you create with this pattern, just please don’t redistribute the pattern itself.
You can, but keep in mind that using thicker yarn or a larger hook will result in a bigger Frankenstein. The same goes if you adapt for a thinner needle and yarn.
