Posable Gingerbread Man Pattern
List of Materials
- 2mm crochet hook;
- Light brown, white, red, green, and yellow – cotton sports weight yarn;
- Black and red thread to embroider the face. A little bit of white for the eye detail;
- Sewing needle;
- Stuffing material;
- Scissors.
Finish size
This toy is crocheted using sports-weight yarn and a 2 mm hook. The finished size is approximately 16 cm (6 inches) tall.

Gauge
You don’t need to worry too much about the gauge for this pattern. Just choose a hook that works well with your yarn. I always like to use a slightly smaller hook than the yarn label suggests—this helps keep the stitches nice and tight, so the stuffing doesn’t poke through. If your stitches look a bit loose, try going down a hook size.
But if you’d like to check the gauge I got with my yarn, here it is:
Using sports weight yarn and a 2 mm hook, 5 rounds (ending with 30 stitches) measure about 1.6″ (4.5 cm) across.
