List of Materials
- 2mm crochet hook;
- Yellow, orange, and white cotton sports-weight yarn;
- Black thread to embroider the face. A little bit of yellow for the eye detail.
- Sewing needle;
- Stuffing material;
- Scissors.
Finished Size
This toy is crocheted using sports-weight yarn and a 2 mm hook. The finished size is approximately 8 cm (3 inches) tall.

Gauge
You don’t need to worry too much about the gauge for this pattern. Just choose a hook that works well with your yarn. I always like to use a slightly smaller hook than the yarn label suggests—this helps keep the stitches nice and tight, so the stuffing doesn’t poke through. If your stitches look a bit loose, try going down a hook size.
But if you’d like to check the gauge I got with my yarn, here it is:
Using sports weight yarn and a 2 mm hook, 5 rounds (ending with 30 stitches) measure about 1.6″ (4.5 cm) across.

Candy Corn Pattern Instructions
For this pattern, we will work on the toy starting from the legs and finishing at the head. Let’s begin!
Legs
With yellow yarn chain 5, skip the first chain and start,
1 rnd 3sc, 4sc in the last chain, turning the work and continue working on the other side, 2sc, 3sc in the last chain. Total 12sts
2 rnd 12blsc
3 rnd 1sc, 4dec, 3sc Total 8sts

- Leave it on the side for now. We will crochet together with the candy later.

With orange yarn, start
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6sc
- Fold the hand in half, having 3sc on one side and 3 on the other.
- For the next round, you will crochet together one side to the other, closing the hand.
3 rnd 1sc, (chain 11, skip first chain, 10sl), skip 1sts, 1sc

- You will be with the 2 central stitches left unworked. With a sewing needle, fasten off the stitch using the leftover the yarn.
