- Chenille yarn of your preference. I used Hobbii Baby Snuggle, colors blue and beige for the donut. Pink, orange, and yellow for the sprinkles.
- Sewing needle,
- Stuffing material hypoallergenic polyester,
- Scissors
Finish size:
13 cm (5 inches) in diameter and 6.5cm (2.5 inches) high.
Gauge
You don’t need to worry too much about the gauge for this pattern. Just choose a hook that works well with your yarn. I always like to use a slightly smaller hook than the yarn label suggests—this helps keep the stitches nice and tight, so the stuffing doesn’t poke through. If your stitches look a bit loose, try going down a hook size.
But if you’d like to check the gauge I got with my yarn, here it is:
Using super bulky chenille yarn and a 6 mm hook, 4 rounds (ending with 24 stitches) measure about 2.5″ (5 cm) across.

- Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
Donut Frosting
- Turn this detail you finished inside out, having the wrong side facing you and the right side facing in.
- Add the blue yarn (or the color of the topping you are working with) in one stitch of the foundation chain and start working,

- Fold the donut with the wrong side facing each other, and the right side facing out.
