For the Legs, round 3, where do I place the 6 sc, I cannot see it clearly from the photos?
Hi Sue! You start round 1 with 6sc in a magic ring right? For the round 2, you are still crocheting only 6sc (think of when you read, the chains and slip stitches are “extra”). Here you dont skip a stitch and you dont increase a stitch. You work round two in the 6 stitches from round 1. Got it?
This way, you still having 6 stitches once you start working round 3.
You will work for round 3, 6sc on top of the 6 stitches from previous round, ignoring the slip stitches on the chains. This way, the 3 strings of chain and slip stitch will be popping out, creating the little fingers!
I hope that helps!
Leg Pattern Rnd 2 has 1sc 3 times and 2sc equaling only 5 stitches total, not 6
Hey Bonnie, you do have 6 stitches at the end.
In round 1, you have 6 stitches right?
For the second round, you work 1sc, then you [chain 3, skip one chain and make 1sl in each of the 2 remaining chains, and you join on the round with a sc] all of this inside [] is worked in 1 st of the round.
You repeat that 3 times, which occupies 3sts from the round.
3sts from the round, plus one stitch you worked before the repetitions, plus the 2sc written in the instructions totals 6stithces.
You are basically working single crochet on top of the 6 stitches from round one. Except, the 3 stitches where you work a couple of slip stitches to create the fingers.
I hope that is clear!

When I tried to post & checked “go to site” I get an error message – maybe check with Pinterest as to why it does this. In order to get to yr site I had to do a search & posted from here – hope it worked this time. Love these little guys. Tks for sharing yr patterns & yr talent. Belong to “Random Acts of Crochet Kindness” on FB *& will surely be making these cuties – love the Grinch too. Tk u.
