I’m Ana Carolina, the maker behind The Nomad Knot.

My love for handmade crafts began when I was 11 years old. My mom taught me how to embroider, knit, crochet, and even macramé, and from the moment I picked up my first thread, I was hooked. I fell in love with knots!

Back then, I embroidered towels to gift to friends and family. During school and college, I worked alongside my mom in her handmade business, which helped support our family. She was amazing at what she did, and I learned so much just by watching and helping her.

Over time, my passion for handmade, thoughtful gifts only grew. The more I saw the world flooded with mass-produced plastic toys and fast fashion, the more I felt called to create things with care and meaning.

After getting married and moving to Belgrade, Serbia, I found myself starting fresh — in the middle of a world crisis. That’s when the idea for The Nomad Knot came to life. I wanted to build a space where I could share my crochet designs with you, so you could make heartfelt, personalized gifts filled with care, creativity, and love.

And here we are!
