It’s hard not to fall in love with Baby Yoda, or should I say, Grogu! This adorable little alien from the Mandalorian series has completely stolen our hearts with his curious eyes, tiny hands, and peaceful expressions. So of course, he had to be part of the Star Friends collection.

Meet Your New Galactic Companion

After designing an amigurumi version of the Mandalorian, I knew it wouldn’t be complete without Grogu right by his side. It felt only right to create this tiny version of such a beloved character, and now he’s ready to join your handmade galaxy too!

This pattern is quick, simple, and filled with personality. I hope you enjoy making it as much as I did designing it.

GROGU AMIGURUMI FREE PATTERN

Baby Yoda amigurumi materials

2mm crochet hook;
Green, light brown and two shades of gray;
Black thread for embroidering the eyes.
Sewing needle;
Stuffing material;
Scissors.

Finish size:

6cm or 2,5 inches

Grogu Baby Yoda Amigurumi Pattern Instructions

HEAD

With green color yarn start,

1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring

2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts

3 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts

4 to 6 rnd 18sc

7 rnd (1sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 12sts

Change to light brown yarn

NOTE: Next row, you are going to work in BLSL. This means that you will create an inside row that will become the beginning of the neck. For Round 9, you will work in the remaining front loop of row 7:

Add stuffing material to the head before continuing.

BODY

Continue working with light brown yarn,

8 rnd 12blsl

9 rnd FL(5sc, 1inc) repeat 2 times total 14sts

10 to 12 rnd 14sc

Stop here to finish adding stuffing material.

13 rnd BL(5sc, 1dec) repeat 2 times Total 12sts

Cut the yarn and fasten off

ARMS

With green yarn start,

1 rnd 5sc in a magic ring

2 to 4 rnd 5sc

Cut the yarn and fasten it off. Leave a small tail for sewing it.
Make another one following the same instructions

EARS

With green yarn, chain 5. Skip the first chain and start,

1 row 1sl, 1sc, 2dc

Cut the yarn and fasten off. Leave a small tail for sewing it.
Make another one following the same instructions.

DRESS’S DETAIL

With light brown yarn, chain 20. Skip the first two chains and start,

1 row 18dc

Cut the yarn and fasten it off.

ASSEMBLY

Sew the ears starting in the third round of the head and finishing on round 5. Leave 10 stitches distance from one to another.
Sew the arms in round 9 of the body. Leave 5 stitches distance from one to another.
Sew the dress detail covering the neck of baby Yoda.
Embroider the eyes in round 4 of the head leaving 3 stitches between them. With a small piece of white color yarn, contour the outside of the eyes with a small line.
