Recently we are all enchanted with Baby Yoda, or his name, Grogu. This super cute creature from the Mandalorians series.
After creating an amigurumi version of Mandalorian to go with the new member of the Star Friends, it is more then needed a tiny version of this cute little alien.
And here it goes! I hope you enjoy this little creation!

Baby Yoda amigurumi materials
- 2mm crochet hook;
- Green, light brown and two shades of gray;
- Black thread for embroidering the eyes.
- Sewing needle;
- Stuffing material;
- Scissors.
Finish size: 6cm or 2,5 inches

HEAD
With green color yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
4 to 6 rnd 18sc
7 rnd (1sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 12sts
- Change to light brown yarn
NOTE: Next row, you are going to work in BLSL. This means that you will create an inside row that will become the beginning of the neck. For Round 9, you will work in the remaining front loop of the row 7:
BODY
Continue working with light brown yarn,
8 rnd 12blsl
9 rnd FL(5sc, 1inc) repeat 2 times total 14sts
10 to 12 rnd 14sc
13 rnd BL(5sc, 1dec) repeat 2 times Total 12sts
- Cut the yarn and fasten off
ARMS
With green yarn start,
1 rnd 5sc in a magic ring
2 to 4 rnd 5sc
- Cut the yarn and fasten it off. Leave a small tail for sewing it.
- Make another one following the same instructions
EARS
With green yarn chain 5. Skip the first chain and start,
1 row 1sl, 1sc, 2dc
- Cut the yarn and fasten off. Leave a small tail for sewing it.
- Make another one following the same instructions.
DRES’S DETAIL
With light brown yarn chain 20. Skip the first two chains and start,
1 row 18dc
- Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
ASSEMBLY
- Sew the ears starting in the third round of the head and finishing on round 5. Leave 10 stitches distance from one to another.
- Sew the arms in round 9 of the body. Leave 5 stitches distance from one to another.
- Sew the dress detail covering the neck of baby Yoda.
- Embroider the eyes in round 4 of the head leaving 3 stitches between them. With a small piece of white color yarn, contour the outside of the eyes with a small line.
POD
With dark gray yarn chain 9. Skip the first chain and start,
1 rnd 7sc, 4sc in the last chain (turn clockwise and continue working on the other side of the chain), 6sc, 3sc in the last chain. Total 20sts
2 rnd (1inc, 6sc, 1inc, 2sc) repeat 2 times Total 24sts
3 rnd (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts
4 rnd (4sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 36sts
5 rnd (5sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 42sts
6 rnd 42blsc
7 and 8 rnd 42sc
- Change to light gray yarn
9 rnd 42FPsc
- Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
POD TOP
With dark gray yarn start,
NOTE: at the end of each round, chain 1 and turn.
1 rnd 4sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 3inc, 1sc, chain one and turn Total 7sts
3 rnd (1inc, 1sc) repeat 3 times, 1inc Total 11sts
4 rnd (2sc, 1inc) repeat 3 times, 2sc Total 14sts
5 rnd (3sc, 1inc) repeat 3 times, 2sc Total 17sts
6 rnd (4sc, 1inc) repeat 3 times, 2sc Total 20sts
7 to 10 rnd 20sc
- Cut the yarn and fasten it off. Leave a tail for sewing it.
- Find the 20 stitches from the back of the pod.
- Sew the pod top in these 20 stitches.
- Sew the pod top between the single crochet and the front post single crochet.
